A Heart for God and A Heart for People in the Heart of the City.
Welcome
You are Very Welcome!
Shaftesbury Sq. RPC is placed on the very busy Dublin road, close to the Centre of the City Belfast. We have been here for over 100 years, but we are not done yet. You are very welcome to come to one of our events or to contact us. Our service times are:
We recently updated the front of our church so that we can better accommodate visitors and members. There are wheelchair accessible ramps and automatic doors. A disabled WC is also in the lobby for easy access.
We have a coffee bar for after the service so that you can chat with other members of the church and find out more about us. We also have a crèche behind the congregation, were parents and children can go if they are restless.
All events are open to the public and whether you are a Christian or not, you are free to join us. You can contact us if you have any questions or would like more information and we would love to get back to you.
English Class
Trying to Improve your English?
Would you like to improve your English speaking? Would you like to learn new words and grammar? Would you like to meet new friends? We are a group of locals and English-speaking internationals that would like to help you to learn how to communicate better in English. This takes the form of some Friday night classes that you can take part in.
There are two classes a beginner and an advanced class. This allows you to start at whatever your level of English is. We hope that you would find these free classes helpful and that you will be able. If you are at college or are a recent resident of the UK, then this can aid your learning informal classes at college.
As some of you are aware cases of COVID 19 have gone down and we have decided to open up. our classes are at the same time and you are all welcome. We are still collecting emails so we can let you know if the class is still on and that if there is a second lockdown we can send you links with instructions.
Put on a face mask. if you don’t have a mask then we will provide one for you.
We then will need you to disinfect your hands at the door.
You can go directly to the classroom. The beginners class is downstairs and the advanced class is upstairs.
There is no tea and coffee after class and if you would like to talk to other students then you can speak outside.

It is with great regret that Session has decided to suspend public worship services on the Lord’s Day for the time being due to the coronavirus. Our concern has to be the safety of our members and friends, and so we have taken this step with immediate effect. We are of course still a congregation even though we are not meeting for worship.
We encourage you to continue faithfully in personal and family worship. We also plan to send out by e-mail a weekly devotional and video that can be found on the postsalong with any important news and announcements.
Remember too that there are over 850 Shaftesbury sermons available at: Sermon Audio.
You won’t have heard them all!
